Car Events in Czech Republic 2026 | Complete Schedule
The Czech Republic has a motorsport heritage that runs deeper than most people realise. The country’s tarmac rally stages are among the finest in Europe, the Ecce Homo hillclimb predates both World Wars, and Prague now anchors the WRC season finale. Four events for 2026, each with serious credentials.
FIA Hill Climb Ecce Homo | 6 June
The hillclimb at Sternberk has been running for over a century, which puts it in genuinely rare company among active motorsport events anywhere in the world. The course winds uphill through Moravian countryside, and the atmosphere in the paddock and along the roadside carries the kind of deep, generational knowledge that only comes with a hundred-plus years of continuous history. The cars range from single-seaters to touring cars, and the proximity to the action is the sort of thing that modern circuit racing simply cannot offer. If you have any interest in hillclimbing, Ecce Homo belongs on the list of events you see in person at least once.
ERC Barum Czech Rally Zlin | 14 August
Round 5 of the European Rally Championship, and one of the most iconic tarmac rallies on the continent. The stages through the hills around Zlin are fast, technical, and lined with spectators who have been watching rallying here for decades. Czech rally fans are knowledgeable, and the roadside atmosphere at the key stages has a quality that reflects that. The event has a rhythm to it: competitive stages through the day, then the service park in Zlin’s town centre where you can walk among the cars and get close enough to see the battle damage accumulate across the weekend.
ACW Dreamcars Zlin | 16 August
A supercar and exotic car showcase in the heart of Moravia, running the same weekend as the tail end of the Barum Rally. If you are in Zlin for the rally, Dreamcars is a natural complement. The focus is on dream machines and rarities, the kind of cars that most people only encounter as desktop wallpapers. The timing and location make it easy to pair with the ERC round for a full weekend of automotive immersion.
WRC Rally Europa Central | 16 October
The WRC season finale, and one of the most ambitious events on the calendar. Rally Europa Central uses Prague as its hub but sends stages across the Czech Republic, into Germany, and through Austria, making it a genuinely multi-country affair. The Prague stages, with rally cars threading through the city streets, provide the kind of spectacle that draws crowds well beyond the usual rally audience. As a season closer, the sporting stakes are often high, and the October timing gives the whole event an atmospheric, late-season quality with autumn colour in the forests and low light across the stages.
